Rapidshare Limits Free User Download 30 kbps

Recently the biggest File repository domain Rapidshare, Limits Free User Download to 30 kbps and disables resume.

Its really disgusting to the users who use it daily to download lots of stuff at their free usage hours.
Rapidshare limited the download bandwidth speed to 30 kbps.

That means who if want to download 100 mb of data it takes nearly three and half hours of time to download.
There by the usage of power is also high which gives more radiation, by extending time of power usage.

I think Rapidshare to keep in mind some important aspects like Global Warning and Eco friendly principles to save guard this whole world.

We all should hope the rapidshare will soon change the remove this limitation plan in coming days...

  1. Rapidshare restricts free users to make them pay for an account. It is just their attempt to maximize their income, before the feds closes it all down.

    Also,

100 mb data @ 30 kbps would not take 3.5 hrs to download..

    100 mb = 102400 kb
    102400 kb / 30 kbps = 3413 seconds
    3413 seconds = .94 hrs
